Random Thoughts on July 25, 2026
As you can tell from these two self-portraits, even though there's a 72 year age difference between my granddaughter and me, we are practically the same person. We just happen to be running in opposite directions!
Dave at my Weight Watcher meeting knew that I was having a consultation with my foot surgeon. Dave had also previously driven behind me while I was driving my Mustang. Dave asked if the surgeon was going to remove the lead in my foot!
Today, I bought a new iPhone 17 after just going to VZW to "look". The same thing happened to me when I just went to look at Mustangs and again the time my favorite daughter and I went to look at puppies. We came home with our black lab, Wolfgang Amadeus Seeley (but really a hybrid mix of many breeds we discovered much later after DNA testing). But I digress! After buying the expensive, shiny rectangle that knows more about me than my therapist, my first thought was, "I should call God to thank him for leadeth-ing me beside still waters and great choices!" My second thought was, "I need to stop looking at anything expensive, canine, equine or really cute (unless he is a single, silver fox handyman with a platinum toolbox (oops, I mean bank account).
My granddaughter, Eliza, also has random thoughts. She recently asked me what I thought about the letter "O." I just told her that I would give it a 5!
Speaking of letters, I don't like making cursive "D's."
Why are clothes from China always so small? I have found that a woman's XXL only fits a petite Chinese ballerina. I suggest putting a non-itchy tag in their clothing that says, "You fool. You are not Chinese!" In Chinese, it would look like this:
你这个傻瓜。你不是中国人!
I'm assuming most Americans can't read Chinese (unlike moi), so you would not know you were being insulted. Therefore, according to Milton Bradley's game of Chutes and Ladders, China would be one rung closer than the USA to world dominance. This is one more reason besides good health to actually fit into a Chinese XXL.
Whenever I copy and paste on my Chromebook or PC, I'm often leary of pasting somewhere (like my table or chair) before I paste in its intended spot. For example: What if I had pasted, "You fool. You are not Chinese!" all over my comfy living room chair where I do most of my writing?
While walking in a parking lot today, some guy asked me how I was. Being that my brain was on hiatus, I said, "Thank you." We both laughed about my answer. Then I added, "I guess I'm thanking you for even talking to me or caring about how I am!" More laughter...
If you have any random thoughts that you would like to share, I would love to see them in my comment section below. If you are copying and pasting from somewhere, be careful where you paste!
Sandra Warholic Seeley - All my life, and half of someone else's, I have lived in a humorous place called Earth. My muse is a tiny menehune from the island of Oahu in Hawaii where I lived for a year. Ernest Hemingway once sat under the exact same coconut tree where I did most of my writing. I'm also a sensitive to criticism Virgo who loves to get paid for writing and speaking funny stuff. Even though my mind is filled with volcanic ash residue and I'm still finding sand in my shorts, I will continue to write until my muse retires or I run out of pretty blue drinks, whichever comes first. Don't be bashful, email the author.
